The Story Behind the Altar
The Altar of Aesthetics was born from the belief that caring for ourselves is both meaningful and intentional.
For us, The Altar represents a space where caring for your skin and your body is treated as something meaningful and worthy of attention. Like many women, we remember some of our earliest experiences with beauty and self-care around our mothers' vanities, spaces that felt comforting, familiar, and full of possibility.
We wanted to create a modern version of that feeling.
A place where our clients could step away from the demands of everyday life, invest in themselves without guilt, and receive expert care in an environment that feels welcoming, elevated, and deeply personal.
Today, The Altar exists as a space where science, artistry, and self-care come together to help women feel confident, refreshed, and completely themselves.

We offer two primary areas of care: injectables and skincare. Both are guided by the same commitment to education, collaboration, and individualized care.

brings more than a decade of experience in aesthetic medicine to The Altar of Aesthetics. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, she combines advanced medical expertise with an artistic eye and a deeply personalized approach to care.
Kelley Smith, FNP-BC, CANS
Her journey began in women's healthcare, where she developed a deep appreciation for supporting women through transformative moments in their lives. She was awarded The Great Catch while serving as an OB nurse. Drawn to the growing field of aesthetics, Kelley pursued advanced training and eventually earned her Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) designation while working alongside a plastic surgeon.
Today, she is known for her expertise in injectables, commitment to continuing education, and ability to create results that complement each client's unique features and goals.

MEET KELLEY

Carrie Lynn Grove is a Licensed Esthetician whose approach to skincare is rooted in education, intention, and helping clients feel confident in their own skin.
With a passion for skin health and a commitment to ongoing learning, Carrie specializes in personalized skincare treatments that support healthy, resilient skin and long-term results. Her areas of focus include collagen restoration, barrier support, and helping clients better understand how to care for their skin through every stage of life.
Drawn to aesthetics by a desire to help others feel at home in their own bodies, Carrie believes skincare should be both effective and approachable. She takes the time to understand each client's concerns, goals, and lifestyle, creating treatment plans that feel thoughtful, personalized, and realistic.
